Better Clutter/ Clutter Buster

(These are not my shoes!)
We are all reluctant to let go of things that have a satisfying emotional value to us.

I confess, I'm one of the worst.
Being a "Jonesing Baby Boomer", I think I was heavily influenced by the generation before me who suffered from the depression in the 30's.
My mother kept everything, and passed that tendency on to her children.

Lilly Doesn't Paint

Kit cat, (Little Lilly), like most felines, wants to be wherever she can most likely get in the way.

She especially likes to lunge to a flat position on the floor as close to where I may be able to step on her.

Leaving Las Vegas

A few years back, I got a pet sitter to scoop kitty poo and play ball with my doggies and left for about a week long trip to Las Vegas to help plan the window coverings for a large condominium in One Queensridge Place, in Las Vegas, NV.

Dark skies don't exist there, so I very much missed the stars I know. I didn't see any stars while there, famous or in the sky.

I took a guest room which had it's own bathroom, TV, walk in closet and an amazing view of the strip.I felt like I was living in a fishbowl, even though we were on the 14th (13th) floor. Of course it was my job to design the window coverings so I got busy.

Walk Around Designer

(A Peripatetic Designer walks around with her client and has the intentions to convey instruction and information as well as to help to create and bring into being the desires of the home owner.)

Being a peripatetic (walk-around-designer) requires that all of the clients interests be considered...such as...dogs and cats sleeping...wherever they want!

There are so many ways to accommodate this requirement and still leave a beautiful impression (not that they aren't beautiful left alone).

Piled up laundry will always appease the guests, but sometimes it imposes a second laundry day for the host. (these special guests aren't always so thoughtful to take off their muddy shoes or dust themselves off before plopping on the bed!)

As for me,
